At the end of July I was asked – actually asked! – to get argumentative in the name of media debate, for The Observer‘s ‘The New Review’ section.

The debate topic was the criminalisation of underage sexting: an incredibly difficult but important subject, and one in which my master’s specialism in Organised Crime and Terrorism had given me a technical grounding.

The debate appeared in print in the Observer on Sunday 27 July 2014, but you can read it online here. As with any debate where kids are involved, the topic is fraught with emotion, not to mention legal grey areas.

What do you think – did I pick the right side?
